One man and a sign

Blogger MennoSandra tells how one man with a single sign protesting a fight that broke out on the floor of the Kurdish parliament soon drew bystanders, a flim crew, security forces with water for Mohamed to drink - and the leader of the opposition.

She writes, "... the brutal regime of Saddam Hussein [meant] that no one was able to voice dissent without being tortured or killed and the fear of this still lingers in the hearts of many and for one man, to stand alone and speak his voice, is a brave act indeed."
