Mosque, Synagogue work together to feed homeless youth

Toronto - InsideToronto.com reports an inspiring story of how members of a Mosque and a Synagogue are intentionally partnering to help feed homeless youth.

Volunteers from the Islamin Foundation of Toronto and Darchei Noam Synagogue will participate in the Feeding Faithfully program when it starts in February, 2011.

The Second Base Youth Shelter which offers 56 beds (plus ten during extreme cold weather), helps marginlized and vulnerable youth by giving them a safe place to stay, food to eat, and provides high school tutoring and pre-apprentice training for assistant cooks for its catering service, Second Helping.
